Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients undergoing regional anesthesia for upper or lower extremity surgery - Request by the patient for supplemental sedation perioperatively - Patient age = 18 years - Written consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patient does not want supplemental sedation for regional anesthesia - Patient age < 18 years - Visual or hearing impairment - Comprehension problems when using the VR-glasses - Known epilepsy, migraine, ataxia - Mental illnesses, taking psychotropic medication

Assessment of the current state of mind according to the "von Zersson-scale" (questionnaire)

Assessment of the current anxiety situation using the HADS questionnaire (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) by Zigmond/Snaith) Assessment of the current feeling of stress using the PANAS questionnaire (Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) by Zevon and Tellegen) Assessment of the patient's satisfaction using the Likert satisfaction scale Heart rate variability (HRV) Pupillometry Electroencephalography (EEG)
