Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Consent of the participating students - Test persons must be students of human medicine (in the clinical section, enrolled at the Philipps University of Marburg). - Students must have sufficient vision (self-assessment) to evaluate the video sequences.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - No existing consent of the students - Students who are not enrolled in the course of study Human Medicine (in the clinical section) - Students of human medicine who are not enrolled at Philipps-Universität Marburg - Technical defect during presentation of the ultrasound sequences

Differentiating "pulse" (as a surrogate parameter of cardiac output activity) from its absence can help medical staff make decisions regarding the care of patients with cardiac arrest, PEA or asystole. Especially in the case of pseudo-PEA, pulse control can be significantly more difficult in the presence of a weak pulse pressure wave. In addition, in ROSC - under resuscitation - perfusion of the cerebral vessels is of great importance. There is a descriptive research question. What percentage of the ultrasound loops shown are correctly named by the students. "Pulsation of the common carotid artery present?" Yes, or No. Using B-, M-mode or the colour Doppler.

Are the sequences demonstrated later assessed "better" or is there a kind of "learning effect" for the students in the course of the test? Is the decision made faster and / or more "correctly" with increasing test duration? Do the test results differ depending on the level of education or which semester the students belong to? Are there differences in the correct recognition of a pulselessness or an existing pulse depending on whether the sequences are displayed in B-, M-mode or via colour Doppler?
