Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Eyes with nuclear, cortical or posterior subcapsular cataracts with grade =4 considering LOCS III classification. - Availability, willingness and sufficient cognitive awareness to comply with examination procedures. - Signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Continued wearing of contact lenses. - Ocular trauma. - Previous refractive surgery. - Bad ocular fixation. - Corneal or ocular disease (e.g., keratoconus, dry eye, glaucoma, retinal detachment). - Systemic disease or treatment with systemic medications that could affect vision or refraction.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Comparison of the acquisition rate between two SS-OCT biometers in eyes with advanced cataract.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
-Change description in LA measurement before and one month after cataract surgery between both biometers. - Agreement between both biometers in the measurement of LA analysis, keratometry (K), ACD, LT, central corneal thickness (CCT) and white-to-white distance (WTW).
