Group 1: Established pediatricians in the southern part of Saxony-Anhalt will be surveyed once with a questionnaire regarding their experience and handling of rare diseases.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All pediatricians in private practice in Saxony-Anhalt practicing south of Magdeburg were included into the study population. This includes the counties of Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Burgenlandkreis, Dessau-Roßlau, Halle, Harz, Mansfeld-Südharz, Saalekreis, Salzlandkreis and Wittenberg. Pediatricians in group practices or medical care centers also receive the questionnaire.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pediatricians practicing in the counties of Altmarkkreis-Salzwedel, Börde, Jerichower Land, Magdeburg or Stendal.

Measure	Time frame
The aim is to uncover possibilities to optimize the care of children with rare diseases in the southern part of Saxony-Anhalt. The intention of this work is to uncover the extent to which pediatricians can guarantee safe care in interdisciplinary cooperation and to work out the expectations and wishes of specialists in private practice.	—
