Inclusion criteria: 1.) Age >18 years 2.) Elective cardiac surgery patients with planned use of a heart-lung machine 3.) written declaration of consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.) Age <18 years 2.) Immunosuppressive long-term medication 3.) no declaration of consent available
