Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. A confirmed (G) permanent diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (ICD-10-GM codes: M35.3 polymyalgia rheumatica or M31.5 giant cell arteritis in polymyalgia rheumatica) and/or at least 2 confirmed diagnoses of polymyalgia rheumatica (no permanent diagnoses, ICD-10-GM codes: M35.3 polymyalgia rheumatica and/or M31.5 Giant cell arteritis in polymyalgia rheumatica) within the period from quarter III/2021 to quarter II/2023. 2. Age = 50 years at the time of data collection. 3. Ability to give consent, i.e. patient is able to assess the significance and scope of participation in the study or: in the absence of capacity to consent, written informed consent by the authorized person (e.g. guardian).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Objection to the data processing for the identification of potential study participants in the practice management program within the framework of FoPraNet-BW 2. age <50 years at the time of data collection 3. no permanent diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica and/or fewer than two confirmed diagnoses (no permanent diagnosis) of polymyalgia rheumatica within the time period from quarter III/2021 to quarter II/2023 4. diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica not confirmed (suspected diagnosis (V), excluded diagnosis (A), or asymptomatic state following the diagnosis in question(Z)).
