Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: In this research project, patients with chronic hiccups will be examined. The subjective experiences of the patients with the disease should be the focus. The diagnosis of chronic singultus is a prerequisite for participation in the study. The affected patients are connected to the Center for Chronic Singultus at Heidelberg University Hospital. Patient data and contact address are stored in the EDP system of the clinic. The outpatient clinic is part of the supraregional pain outpatient clinic under the administration of the AG Schmerzmedizin (Head PD Dr. med. Jens Keßler), the Clinic for Anesthesiology of Heidelberg University Hospital (Head Prof. Dr. med. Markus Weigand). As an outpatient clinic for rare diseases, it is affiliated with the Center for Rare Diseases (ZSE) of Heidelberg University Hospital (Director: Prof. Dr. med. Prof. h.c. mult. (RCH) Georg Friedrich Hoffmann).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Refusal of study participation by patients, lack of consent, patients legally unable to give consent, insufficient understanding of the German language, patients under 18 years of age.
