Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Post lung transplantation with indication for bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) due to suspected respiratory infection, defined as meeting at least 2 of the following criteria within the last 7 days: acute feeling of illness, new shadowing on X-ray, new hypoxemia, temperature higher than 38 degrees Celsius, CRP greater than 30 mg/L, or procalcitonin less than 0.5 micrograms per liter, or known respiratory tract colonization.
