Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult oncology patients undergoing tumor therapy, regardless of tumor entity, disease duration and treatment intention (curative or palliative).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient:in a highly palliative situation and an expected life span of < 6 months, severe psychiatric comorbidities (e.g., suicidality, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia).

MeasureTime frame
The primary endpoint of this pilot study is the feasibility and acceptability of the online music therapy group intervention. The feasibility and acceptability of the online music therapy group intervention will be assessed in particular with regard to: recruitment, dropout rate, adherence of the participants, the feasibility of the therapeutic intervention and the response rate to the questionnaire survey. In addition, the satisfaction of the participants will be assessed in a semi-standardized interview.

MeasureTime frame
Secondary endpoints are psychological distress (anxiety, depression, distress), quality of life, adaptive function of music listening, and effect factors of group psychotherapy.
