Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: therapeutical hypothermia planned

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: not able to give written informed consent inflammation or neoplasia of the external auricular canal

Correspondence of epitympanal temperature to other core body temperatures (bladder, rectum, esophagus, nasopharynx) using Bland-Altmann plots, intra-class correlation coefficient (Time points: pre-TH; TH induction; TH plateau, re-warming.).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Exploratory analysis of AC/DC components of the photoplethysmogram in the auditory canal (continuous during therapeutic hypothermia).Time points: pre-TH; TH induction; TH plateau, re-warming.
