Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients recorded in the liver database of the Department of Visceral, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery who underwent liver resection (regardless of underlying diagnosis) in the UKD (VTG) from 2013-2021.

Analysis and presentation of patient characteristics, perioperative parameters, postoperative parameters.

- Univariate and multivariate analysis to identify risk factors for morbidity, mortality, and reoperation rates, as well as long-term oncologic outcome and the need for blood transfusion - Comparative subgroup analysis between patients with and without perioperative blood transfusion after liver surgery - Kaplan-Meier analysis of overall and recurrence-free survival
