Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing laparoscopic liver resection in the posterosuperior segments from April 2018 to October 2022 at the Department of Surgery, University Medical Center Mannheim.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: All patients who do not meet the inclusion criteria.

| Age, sex, BMI, and ASA status classification, diabetes mellitus, smoking status, indication for surgery (benign vs. malignant), history of previous abdominal surgery and/or hepatic resection. Preoperative laboratory tests. In case of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the etiology e.g. alcohol, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, autoimmune and viral. Operating time (min), total blood loss (mL), extent of resection, postoperative morbidity and mortality, pathological characteristics as well as postoperative length of hospital stay (LOS). | — |
