Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for all groups are an age of at least 18 years and the ability to give informed consent to participate. The following specific inclusion and exclusion criteria apply to the arms: confirmed NAFLD diagnosis and exclusion of T2DM confirmed NAFLD diagnosis and confirmed T2DM diagnosis Exclusion of metabolic diseases

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of liver toxic drugs, parenteral nutrition, liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis, hemochromatosis, short bowel syndrome, Wilson's disease, increased alcohol consumption (daily more than 10g for women or 20g for men). In addition, people with walking disabilities should not be included because physical activity profiles (steps per unit time) are measured.
