Physiologic changes in healthy volunteers

Interventions

Group 1: Healthy volunteers will be examined once in room air and once under normobaric hypoxia corresponding to an altitude of 3500m above sea level following at least 30 minutes for equilibration.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: healthy volunteers

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Significant heart, lung, rheumatological or oncological disorders. Patients who are unable to provide informed consent or are not able to participate in spiroergometry.

MeasureTime frame
It is the aim of this study to evaluate the acute effect of normobaric hypoxia on heart and vasculature (arterial stiffness, microcirculation) in health children and young adults age 8-28 years, using a multimodal approach. - right ventricular pressure and function

- Left ventricular SF, E', E/E' - VO2 - central Blutdruck, Augmentation index, Pulse Wave Velocity - Aging index - retinal arteriolar-to-venular diameter ratio (AVR) (static retinal analyser)
