Pandemic-related, economy-related, war-related, and climate-related distress are assessed with self-developed crisis focused questionnaires. As a basis for our self-developed questionnaires we use previously established questionnaires on climate anxiety (Climate anxiety in children and adolescents, Hickman et al. 2021), fear of war (Anxiety about war and terrorism, Summers and Winefeld, 2009) and burden during the Covid-19 pandemic (Ravens-Sieberer et al., 2021). The self-developed questionnaires consists of the same questions for each crisis which were answered on a 5-point Likert scale (perceived overall burden due to the crisis, affective reactions in response to the crisis, and impact of the crisis on psychosocial functioning). Psychopathological Symptoms are assessed with standardized questionnaires. The Patient Health questionnaire ( PHQ-9-A) is used to assess depressive symptoms on the basis of 9-items on a 4 point likert scale (not at all- nearly every day). To measure anxiety, the subscale „generalized anxiety“ of the German version of the Screen for Child Anxiety Related Disorders (SCARED) is used. It consists of nine items (e.g., “I worry about what is going to happen in the future”) which are presented on a 3-point scale (0 = “not true or hardly ever true” to 2 = “very true or often true”). Finally, the health related quality of life is measured with the KIDSCREEN-10 Index. It assesses health-related quality of life including physical, psychological, and social aspects of quality of life in children and adolescents from 8 to18 years old. It consists of ten items (e.g., “Have you feltfull of energy?”) that are answered on a 5-point scale (0 = “never” to 4 = “always” or 0 = “not at all” to 4 = “extremely”). The questionnaire also asseses protective factors. Self-efficacy is assessed using the ASKU (Allgemeine Selbstwirksamkeit Kurzskala), which consists of 3 items measuring individual competence expectations in dealing with difficulties and obstac
