Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Data from Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI, structural [T1, FLAIR, DTI] and functional [resting state und task-related fMRI]) at the beginning and at the end of 6 weeks intensive speech and language therapy (pre-post-design), adjusted for relevant covariables.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Behavioral data are collected from clinical routine. Different tests are conducted depending on the type and severity of aphasia and possible concomitant disorders. The tests are either carried out at T1 and T2 or once during the stay. In particular, they include language tests (Aachen Aphasia Test - AAT, Lexikon Modellorientiert - LeMo, Bielefelder Wortfindungsscreening - BIWOS, Regensburger Wortflüssigkeitstest - RWT, Nonverbalen Semantiktest - NVST, Wortproduktionsprüfung - WPP, Hierarchische Wortlisten - HWL, Szenario-Test, spontaneous speech from picture description) and neuropsychological tests (Testbatterie zur Aufmerksamkeitsprüfung - TAP, Leistungsprüfsystem - LPS, Nonverbalen Lerntest - NVLT, Corsi Block Tapping Test - CORSI, Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - WAIS IV).
