Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Clinical indication for local ablative therapy of liver tumors (liver metastases or primary liver tumors). The indication for intervention in this case must be independent of the presented study. No contraindication to MRI examination. Size of the lesion =3cm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications to MRI examination, especially implants not suitable for MR, tattoos or piercings, limiting claustrophobia.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Local control rate during follow-up (12 months)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Local tumor control rate after MRI-guided MWA. Prospective evaluation of the accuracy of real-time MRI thermometry during microwave ablation to predict the size and geometry of the ablation zone and thus reduce the uncertainty related to the actual ablation zone.
