Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Arm 1: For the secondary data analysis, nationwide data from all insured persons aged 18 and over with dementia or mild cognitive impairment who were insured with the participating health insurance funds and had a corresponding diagnosis in the period 2019-2022 will be used. Data from the years 2019-2023 will be analysed, so that a follow-up of at least 12 months is available for each insured person. Arm 2: People aged 18 and over who reside in one of the eight regions of interest and are insured with one of the participating health insurers and have a diagnosis of dementia or mild cognitive impairment. Arm 3: People aged 18 and over with dementia or mild cognitive impairment who reside in one of the eight regions of interest or relatives of people with dementia or mild cognitive impairment. Arm 4: People who have extensive knowledge of the regional treatment structures and the regional care situation in the care of people with dementia and therefore have specific regional expertise.
