Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Patients with maxillary and/or mandibular complete dentures who have the following characteristics: o satisfactory retention as judged by patient and practitioner (no levering off of dentures when pulling on surrounding soft tissue; no adhesive powder/cream needed). o good fit (uniformly thin undercoating (e.g. Fitchecker)) o high chewing stability (no levering off of the dentures when loaded on one side with a ball tamper) o no pressure points
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Patients whose prostheses do not meet the above criteria. - Persons under 18 or persons who are not legally competent. - Patients who do not wear their total prostheses regularly. - Patients for whom participation in the study could have a negative influence, e.g. on their psychological situation. - Patients for whom participation in the study would represent an increased burden due to their age, degree of disability or general condition.
