Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
What is the sensitivity and specificity of drops in blood pressure from the supine to the sitting position in the diagnosis of OH? We will record blood pressure changes during these maneuvers continuously using the Finapres(R) NOVA Basic system, which allows a beat-to-beat analysis using a finger cuff.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
-Are changes in blood pressure of lying-to-sitting procedures correlated to changes in blood pressure of lying-to-standing procedures? - Is such a correlation similar between men and women? - What is the prevalence of OH in geriatric inpatients in Oldenburg? - Is the prevalence of OH similar in both maneuvers? a) Using the classic cutoff for OH b) Using the cutoff identified by ROC - Does the reported fall rate differ between individuals with OH and those without?
