All
Age
18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - diagnosis of sleep apnoea - flow limitation during sleep is confirmed - patient is capable of giving consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - age > 75 years - patient is unable of giving consent - patient has a beard that does not ensure a tight fit of the PerforMax mask

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Simultaneous recording of the respiratory flow curves from nasal cannula measurements (flow measurement technology for sleep apnea diagnostics) and from pneumotachographic measurements (flow measurement technology for therapy initiation) of at least 100,000 breaths and subsequent comparison of the contour curves for consistency

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Calculation of obstruction coefficients (= measure for determining the degree of obstruction) from respiratory flow curves of nasal cannula measurements and simultaneously recorded pneumotachographic measurements of at least 100,000 breaths and subsequent comparison for consistency.
