Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - diagnosis of COPD - respiratory insufficiency type 2 (NIV indicated) is confirmed - the patient is capable of giving consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - age > 75 years - the patient is unable of giving consent

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Determination of the change in the hemodynamic parameters stroke volume, cardiac output, ejection fraction and systolic time intervals by noninvasive ventilation therapy in COPD patients by intraindividual comparison before/after therapy onset

As primary outcome, but in COPD patients with cardiac comorbidities
