Group 1: Case management for children and adolescents with overweight and obesity. This includes contact with a case manager who makes a targeted and needs-based assignment of the participants to one

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children and adolescents aged 8 to 17 years; BMI (body mass index) above the 90th BMI percentile of the respective age group.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children/adolescents and their families or relatives do not have sufficient motivation for behavioral changes; children/adolescents with insufficient group ability or with intellectual handicaps (only for concept modules in the group setting); Children/adolescents with manifest mental disorders; Secondary and syndromal obesity (e.g., Prader-Willi syndrome); non-existent informed consent
