Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients m/f/d of physical medicine/physiotherapy with muscular trigger points with existing myofascial complaints with indication for physical therapy Age at least 18 years Sufficient knowledge of German to answer the questionnaires Informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Examination not feasible or aborted Known previous operations, scarring changes in the area to be examined (surgery) Structural or neurogenic muscle changes Missing data (incompletely documented images of the examination)

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Comparison between the results of quantitative shear wave elastographyelastography before and after therapy in 3 treatment arms.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Changes in the B-mode ultrasound - Baseline shear wave elastography values of affected and unaffected muscles - Baseline measurement of healthy muscle tissue - Differentiation between acute overuse damage and chronic degenerative changes. - Intraindividual data collection of shear wave elastography to record and compare elastic tissue properties in muscular/myofascial complaints before and after clinically established standard therapy - Subjective usability of imaging diagnostics, therapy and post-therapeutic control from the patient's and therapist's perspective - Baseline SWE values of healthy subjects before and after cold/heat therapy is. - Comparison of the effectiveness of different physical therapy methods against each other.
