Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Confirmed diagnosis of cystic fibrosis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All persons who or whose parents refuse to participate or exercise their right to withdraw, or who are uncertain about the diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, will be excluded.

MeasureTime frame
Establishment of a bio- and DNA bank for current and future research projects as well as establishment of a registry with the essential clinical data of patients with cystic fibrosis for correlation with disease-modifying genes, new biomarkers and (new) cystic fibrosis pathogens for current and future research projects.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Identification of polymorphisms in disease-modifying genes that influence the clinical course of patients with cystic fibrosis. - Identify new biomarkers to improve diagnostics, monitor disease progression and verify treatment response. - Investigate the pathogenesis of pulmonary infection in cystic fibrosis using airway secretion samples and epithelial function using nasal epithelial cells. - Identification of new therapeutic targets.
