Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Principally: voluntary praticipation. - nursing homes: All nursing homes in Germany that have stated their interest. The election resides with the GKV-SV. - nursing home employees: i) survey: all nursing home thaff that is integrated into the care of the care dependents. ii) shadowing: all employees that work on the shadowed living area (only in the intervention group). iii) focus groups: staff of the nursing homes in the intervention group with and without managerial responsibility that are employed in the respective nursing home since the beginning of the intervention. iiii) analysis of competencies: all employees that work on the shadowed living area (only in the intervention group). - care dependents: i) survey: all care dependents that are capable to fill in the questionnaire alone or with assistance, according to the caregivers. For care dependents with cognitive decline a proxy survey will be applied. ii) shadowing: all care dependents living in the shadowed living area. - shadower: i) shadowing: qualification as a care giver, participation on the training ii) survey: none

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - care dependents: terminal patients, living in the respecting nursing home less than 4 weeks - nursing home employees: survey: employment starts within the survey period.
