Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - at least one HbA1c measurement - at least two serum-creatinine measurements - follow-up of at least 12 months - Subjects treated between January 1st, 1997 and September 30th, 2022

Exclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria are not met

MeasureTime frame
The primary endpoint was defined as new-onset CKD (CKD stage = 3, starting from CKD stage 1 or 2 or absent CKD).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary endpoints were defined as (S1) progression of CKD (S1, time to CKD stage = 4-5, starting from CKD stage 3) and (S2) new-onset severe CKD (S2, time to CKD stage = 4-5 from CKD stage 1 or 2, respectively).
