Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Tonsillotomy or adenotomy imminent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Insufficient German language skills

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
SUD (subjective units of distress) with values 0 (no distress) to 10 (extreme distress) to measure subjective well-being, once in the pre-medication unit one day before the surgery and a second time one day after the surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
QUIPSi (Quality Improvement in Postoperative Pain Management, Children's Version) to assess post-operative pain, fatigue, and nausea.
