Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome of the trail is to assess the adherence of patients to an app based rehabilitation program in contrast with the adherence to the standard procedure of care. The outcome will be measure via the use of a knee sensor. The measurement starts one day postopertively and ends seven days after discharge from the hospital. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Secondary outcomes include the contrast between patient reported compliance and the actual compliance, correlation between compliance and performance and self-reported outcomes and the contrast between a paper-based training regimen and an app based training regimen in terms of the correct execution and the correct number of repetitions in both groups. Since it is hypothesized that patients are generally more active after receiving a TKR, another important point worth mentioning is the contrast between pre- and post-operative knee motion behavior. The motives of the patients to not follow their regimen will be reported. The long term effects of early postoperative rehabilitation will be assessed in the follow up. | — |
