Group 1: Outpatient physiotherapy beginning approximately three weeks after prostatectomy consisting of education, pelvic floor awareness, and functional pelvic floor training including self-managemen
6 sessions, approximately 1-2x/week

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - planned prostatectomy for localized prostate cancer. - Carlson Comorbidity Index = 3 - no neoadjuvant androgen deprivation - ability to attend outpatient physical therapy appointments on a regular basis - continence based on EPIC-26 SD

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - lack of ability to give consent (e.g. care relationship) - lack of German language skills - contraindication / intolerance to the use of the MAPLe probe - already pre-operatively existing, diagnosed incontinence - previous pelvic and/or pelvic floor surgery - prostate volume =100ml - rehabilitation treatment after acute care

feasibility; survey at the end of physiotherapy (end of study) by questionnaire on satisfaction and acceptance

for all secondary endpoints: survey at baseline (before prostatectomy) and at the end of the study phase (after the last physiotherapy session) for comparison pre-post functional-anatomical changes of the pelvic floor muscles (surface electromyography using MAPLe) self-efficacy (German version of the Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale ESES) physical activity level (German version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire IPAQ) health-related quality of life (subscale of the German version of the Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite EPIC-26) functional baseline regarding continence (subscale of the German version of the Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite EPIC-26) irritative/obstructive micturition symptoms (subscale of the German version of the Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite EPIC-26) erectile function (subscale of the German version of the Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite EPIC-26) bowel function (subscale of the German version of the Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite EPIC-26) hormone function (subscale of the German version of the Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite EPIC-26)
