Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary study objective is to assess the proportion of people (=> 35 years) in Germany with self-reported diagnosis of chronic ischemic heart disease and a general practitioner visit since the onset of this disease who have ever been asked by a general practitioner about their physical activity level, and received advice and/or specific recommendations to increase physical activity since the onset of this disease.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary study objectives are to: (1) explore associations between the primary endpoint and defined sociodemographic and behavioural and health-related characteristics of the respondents (e.g., Body Mass Index, physical activity level), (2) determine the satisfaction with the general practitioner advice on physical activity in the subsample of people who have ever received such advice, (3) determine the need for general practitioner advice on physical activity and desired content of people with self-reported chronic ischemic heart disease, (4) if sample size allows: explore the associations between the secondary endpoints and defined sociodemographic and behavioural and health-related characteristics of the respondents (including body mass index, physical activity level), and (5) if sample size allows: the comparison of body mass index and physical activity levels between people with and without self-reported chronic ischemic heart disease.
