Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Parents (incl. foster/step/adoptive parents) of 12- to 21-year-olds with presumed computer game addiction symptoms or Internet use disorder symptoms. The adolescent or young adult lives with the participating parent at the time of the 6-week training.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: One parent has already participated in the training. Missing/insufficient knowledge of German. Lack of Internet access or e-mail address.

| Symptoms of internet use disorder and gaming disorder in adolescents and young adults from their parents' perspective. Parents are emailed a link to take the digital survey. There are three measurement time points. The pre-survey takes place after consent to study participation as well as data protection and before randomization. They are invited to the post-survey immediately after training or after six weeks in the waiting control group. Participants have two weeks to take part in the post-survey. The follow-up survey takes place after three months, after the end of the training or the waiting period. | — |
