Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: study group: Menière's Disease (according to the current diagnostic criteria) and indication for cochlear implantation; control group: indication for cochlear implantation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: other vestibular disease, migraines, contact lenses on the day of testing, ophthalmologic disease (other than corrected visual disorder), severe internal, neurologic or psychiatric disease, known hypertension, on the day of testing: ingested antihypertensive medication or 2x detection of hypertension (> 140/90 mmHG), ingestion of painkillers within the last 48 hrs, ingestion of alcohol/nicotine/caffeinated drinks with in the last 12 hrs, pregancy or nursing period
