Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: No preexisting health conditions

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diseases of the cardiovascular system (e.g. cardiac arrhythmias, high blood pressure, heart failure), metabolic diseases (e.g. hyperthyroidism, disorders of sugar metabolism), BMI =25 kg/m2, diseases of the kidneys and liver, diseases of the central nervous system, mental illnesses, nicotine consumption, regular drug intake including the consumption of alcohol, participants who take medication on a regular basis and which have an effect on the cardiovascular function (exception: oral contraceptives), sudden cardiac death within the family history, pregnancy.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, QTc, number of supraventricular extrasystoles and ventricular extrasystoles. The primary endpoints will be measured at baseline, 30, 60, 120, and 240 minutes after beverage consumption on each study day.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The following parameters are measured at the beginning, as well as 30, 60, 120 and 240 minutes after drinking on each study day: central systolic blood pressure, central diastolic blood pressure, augmentation index averaged to a heart rate of 75 bpm, pulse wave velocity , stroke volume, heart rate, cardiac output, systemic vascular resistance based on central venous pressure and blood pressure input, ICON variation, systolic time ratio (PEP/LVET), contractility index, cardiac performance index, thoracic fluid content, stroke volume variation, corrected flow time, oxygen supply and breath alcohol.
