Interventions
Group 1: Pilot study to evaluate various triggers of postoperative delirium. Various psychological tests will be performed and all findings collected during medical care will be documented.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: elective surgery, with expected duration of =60 minutes, without expected stay in intensive care unit (ICU)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Diagnosed dementia or other chronic neurological/neuropsychiatric disease. - Acute central nervous system disorders (e.g., traumatic brain injury, intracranial hemorrhage, encephalitis, meningitis) -severe sepsis and septic shock -Intoxications -intracranial surgery -expected length of hospital stay <3 days -German not as native language -deafness - Emergency surgery
