Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
A total of three surveys will be conducted: before the first app use (T0), six weeks after the first app use (T1), and immediately following the conclusion of the 12-week intervention (T2). The same instruments will be used in each survey. The primary outcome is children's sleep as measured by the Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ; Owens, Spirit, & McGuinn, 2000) in the German version by Schlarb, Schwerdtle, & Hautzinger (2010) and the Sleep Inventory Screening Instrument (SI-KJ; Lehmkuhl, Agache, Alfer, Fricke-Oerkermann, Tielsch, Mitschke, Schäfermeier, van der Stouwe, & Wiater, 2015).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes will be conducted at the same time as the primary outcomes: before the first app use (T0), six weeks after the first app use (T1), and immediately following the conclusion of the 12-week intervention (T2). The same instruments will be used for each survey. The secondary endpoints are the children's health-related quality of life using the KiddyKINDL resp. the KidKINDL (Ravens-Sieberer & Bullinger, 1998), and parental stress using the German version of the Parenting Stress Index (PSI; Abidin, 1983) by Tröster (Eltern-Belastungs-Inventar; EBI; 2011).
