Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing bronchoscopy with transbronchial biopsy in the Department of Pneumology at the University Hospital Freiburg. This includes patients after lung transplantation (single or double lung transplantation) who undergo surveillance bronchoscopy.

- Establishment of an ex vivo spheroid cell culture model from transbronchial biopsies. - Evaluation of the antifibrotic effect of CD26/DPP4 inhibition in pulmonary tissue after lung transplantation in this model.

- Evaluation of CD26/DPP4 expression and cellular composition of the obtained spheroid cell cultures. - Correlation of the fibrotic potential of the spheroid cell culture with chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD)-free and overall survival
