Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? The ability to ambulate unassisted for at least 25 feet; ? The ability to stand upright for 2 min; ? Have normal cognitive ability (Montreal Cognitive Assessment test); ? Willing to comply with the study condition

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Drug or alcohol addiction; ? Any acute medical condition requiring hospitalization within the past 3 months; ? Metal implants in head or pacemakers, ferromagnetic objects, or other objects with risk of contact with the electrodes; ? Use of medications that have on effect of the CNS; ? Any acute cardiovascular disease; Uncontrolled or not treated high or low blood pressure; ? Any severe lower-extremity pain, muscular-skeletal disorder, or any other condition that may influence gait and balance; ? Severe mental disorders, e.g., major depressive disorder, substance use disorder, or posttraumatic stress disorder. ? Severe neurological disorders, e.g., Parkinson disease; ? Severe visual impairments, e.g., glaucoma.

Design outcomes

MeasureTime frame
gait-related parameters in single and DT conditions, dual-task cost (DTC), gait speed, cadence, and step length.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
spatiotemporal parameters of single motor tasks (time, gait speed, cadence, step length, the center of pressure, sway area, and so on), and the performance of single cognitive tasks (accuracy, error rate, reaction time, or scores…)
