Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who 1) have been diagnosed with hypertension; 2) have their or their relative’s phone on the day of recruitment; 3) have access to a mobile wallet.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Not a member of the study population (inclusion criteria); Refusing or withdrawing informed consent; Incapacitated persons (mentally challenged; physical disability – i.e., hearing and speech impaired; totally blind)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Number of months a participant contributes to the purchase of medications using the mTomady interface throughout the study period (i.e. 5 months)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Number of months a participant visits the facility to pick up their medications; the change in blood pressure measurements from the day of recruitment to the end of the five-month study period.
