Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Persons who are currently employed as nursing staff in a nursing home or who were employed as such since January 2020. This includes current and former nurses and persons in adjacent and comparable professions. The exact job titles may differ depending on the date and place of the professional training or the current place of employment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -age under 18 years -no suffienct German language skills -lack of consent for study participation or use of data

| The primary study aim is to gain insights into the experiences and expectation regarding past, current and future aspects of working and living in nursing homes during the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic from the employees' perspective. | — |

| Secondary research questions include: -How did employees experience the main phase of the pandemic with regard to working, living (including dying) in nursing homes? How do they differentiate and define the different phases? -Which lessons learned were identified in this time frame and which should be implemented in the medium- to long-term? Who will implement these? Who should be responsible for this according to the interviewees? -What were the processes of decision making and implementation of the measures related to the pandemic in nursing homes and how will or should they look in the near to medium-term future? -Here, we will also consider aspects of hygiene: face masks, disinfection, gloves - what should be maintained in the future? Were trainings offered for correct use? How did employees adapt their own behaviour regarding hygiene? How were employees informed and educated? What are their needs? -Which measures regarding digitalisation existed and how were they implemented? -Which questions, fears, worries, hopes and plans do the employees have for the near and medium-term future regarding SARS-CoV-2 and other potential pandemics with regard to working, living and dying in nursing homes? | — |
