Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Lipedema: Diagnosis of lipedema, BMI 35 kg/m2, waist > 100 cm; Normalweight non-lipedema: BMI < 30 kg/m2, waist < 80 cm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: restrains in communication skills; diseases that affect the sensory nervous system, skin issitations at the testing areas; topical application of analgesics at the testing areas, alterations in pain perception or other diagnoses of chronic pain

Characterization of the clinical phenotype by assessment of pressure pain threshold and vibration detection threshold by quantitativ sensory testing according to the protocol of the DFNS, as well as the Germain Pain Questionnaire
