Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The study aims to assess preloss grief, preparedness for death, and prolonged grief among relatives of people with terminal cancer. Furthermore, we want to identify which factors are related to preloss grief and preparedness for death and how these constructs predict prolonged grief. In addition, factors that predict prolonged grief and its trajectory over time will be explored to identify risk and protective factors. A longitudinal design will be used to answer the questions using four assessment times : - T1: Relatives are interviewed as soon as the loved one is in hospice, i.e., before the loss. - T2: 3 months after T1 - T3: 7 months after T1. - T4: 14 months after T1.
