Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Complete oral nutrition - without gastric tube - Consent of the legal guardian(s) to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Significant health impairments (e.g. kidney diseases, seizures), which may be accompanied by disturbances of the olfactory function. - Children with relevant pre- or concomitant diseases in the ear, nose and throat area - brain hemorrhage or brain malformation - lack of consent of the parent/guardian to participate in the study

MeasureTime frame
Change on Oxygenation level after stimualtion with farnesol or breast milk. Immediately before the measurement, the NIRS with emitter and optode is attached bds. temporally to the infant's head by means of a mesh cap. The measurement is continuous. After baseline measurement, the measurement of the change of Hb oxygenation status (delta HBoxy) is done continuously during the olfactory presentation by means of stiltuper (fresh breast milk of own mother, farnesol and water as blank sample).
