Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) minimum age of 18 years old; (2) partially/totally edentulous patients exhibiting titanim dental implants diagnosed with moderate or advanced peri-implantitis; (3) presence of keratinized mucosa = 2 mm (4) intrabony defect depth = 3mm; (5) plaque index <1 (Löe, 1967) prior to surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) untreated periodontal disease and insufficient oral hygiene; (2) pregnant or lactant women; (3) autoimmune or/and inflammatory diseases; (4) uncontrolled diabetes (HbA1c>7); (5) corticosteroid therapy.
