Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with VA-ECMO

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: veno-venous ECMO Implantation of VA-ECMO at external hospital Transfer of the patient with ongoing ECMO therapy to an external hospital

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Rate of intervention-needing reduced perfusion of the cannulated leg (hemorrhage requiring transfusion, development of compartment syndrome/peripheral reduced perfusion).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
NIRS value before complication on cannulated leg, Relative NIRS drop during ECLS, Absolute NIRS drop during ECLS, Length of stay in intensive care unit.
