Conditions

Patients with diagnoses from Chapter M of the ICD-10, which usually represent the main diagnosis, are treated in the Behavioral-oriented Orthopedic Rehabilitation department of the Berolina Clinic. In addition, comorbid diagnoses from chapter F of the ICD-10 occur in the patients and are considered in the study.

Group 1: Realization of closed therapy groups (one defined group of max. 12 group members obtains 65 therapy units altogether as a group, meaning particularly sports therapy and psychological group) G

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who arrive at the Berolina Klinik Löhne, department behavioral-oriented orthopedic rehabilitation (VOR) between CW34 and CW41 in 2022 and between CW11 and CW19 in 2023.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: German language skills not sufficient to answer questions in the interview/ to fill in the questionnaires

MeasureTime frame
QUESTIONNAIRES will be delivered at the beginning and end of the rehabilitation as well as 6 months after rehab. - psychological skills (impairments) and impairments in work ability (Mini-ICF-APP-S): 13 items, especially 4 items relevant - abilities proactivity, self-care, ability to establish contact (in groups), dyadic relationships - subjective impairments in participation (IMET): 10 items, especially the following items - activities in daily routine, close relationships - subjective work ability (work ability index WAI): 4 items - sports and exercise motivation (16 selected items) - especially frequency of exercise, intention and motivation - motivation to coping at work (JoCoRi): 7 items 6 months after rehabilitation the following questions will be asked as well: - status of work ability six months after rehabilitation, cumulated periods of disability in the past 6 months At the beginning of rehabilitation an INTERVIEW will take place onetime: - psychological skills (impairments) and impairments in work ability (Mini-ICF-APP): 13 items, especially 4 items relevant - abilities proactivity, self-care, ability to establish contact (in groups), dyadic relationships

QUESTIONNAIRES: At the beginning, the end and 6 months after rehabilitation: - symptoms of mental stress (PHQ-4: 4 items) Only at the end of the rehabilitation: - scale positive bonding with the gorup in general (GQ-D, 5 items) - scale confident collaboration (STA-R, 4 items) - side effects of group therapy, scales as a result of the members and group experience (UE-G, 12 items) INTERVIEW: Onetime at the beginning of rehabilitation sociodemographic data is examined like age, gender, academic education, work situation, times of inability to work, estimation of work ability (17 items). For checking purposes of potential confounders in data analysis particularities in the course of therapy are supposed to be recorded (group size, climatic conditions, unscheduled therapist exchanges). Interviews with the sports and psychological therapists are to be conducted to ask them for particularities, special events, implementation and perception of the groups.
