Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Signed informed consent, Histologically confirmed DCIS associated with micro-calcifications or invasive ductal breast carcinoma with predominant DCIS component (core needle biopsy, vacuum suction biopsy), Planned BCS according to mammographic tumor size, Age = 18 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: breast cancer without micro-calcifications, Prior surgery (diagnostic excision), mastectomy planned, breast-reduction surgery

MeasureTime frame
comparison of specimen radiography using the magnified technique with conventional specimen radiography with digital zoom (previous hospital-internal standard)

Secondary

Agreement of specmin radiography with histological findings, effect of intraoperative re-excisions if radiological margins <5 mm, agreement of radiological and histological margins, re-excision rate.
