Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Hospitals: general hospitals (inpatient units), hospitals providing at least basic care (internal medicine and surgery), hospitals within 50km of the study centre Wards: bed-managing wards, general wards Patients: age = 18 years, capacity to consent, stay of = 2 nights, informed consent for study participation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Hospitals: Other hospitals (exclusively psychiatric or neurological beds, exclusively day-care patients), armed forces hospitals, preventive care and rehabilitation facilities Wards: palliative care units, psychiatric wards, paediatric wards, emergency departments, functional units, intermediate and intensive care units Patients: Cognitive and/or physical impairments that do not allow the completion of the questionnaire, insufficient knowledge of the German language that does not allow the completion of the questionnaire
