Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Written informed consent prior to the start of the study. - Primary diagnosis of social anxiety disorder

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - No ownership of a smartphone or unable to use an app - Acute suicidality - Active substance abuse or addiction - Severe medical condition (e.g., chronic cardiovascular disease or acute cancer) - Severe depression - Psychotic disorder - Bipolar disorder - Borderline personality disorder - Current treatment by a psychotherapist - Current psychopharmacological treatment - Insufficient knowledge of the German language

Primary outcome: Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS); 2 assessments (pre-post over 3 months); Recorded in a diagnostic interview (blinded).
