Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age at least 18 years Stroke-typical clinic in the sense of an acute, focal neurological deficit with sudden onset Ischemic cerebral infarction demonstrated on imaging Measurement within < 48 hours after infarct event
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Presence of one or more of the following conditions: Internal carotid artery (ACI) stenosis with > 40% occlusion as defined by NASCET [143]. Disease with severe autonomic nervous system dysfunction. subdural hematoma or subarachnoid hemorrhage Stay in intensive care unit within 48 hours of onset of focal neurologic deficit Person incapable of informed consent and no consent from a legal guardian Insufficient knowledge of the German language to fully comprehend and assess participant information and no adequate translation possible.
